Which way it goes

Zamora is a large province with a scattered population and many small villages far from the capital. The most requested internal trips are from the outlying areas into Zamora — hospital, station, errands — and from Sanabria, Aliste or Sayago that means a long time on minor roads where buses run only a few times a day.

Between villages in Zamora distances are long and buses are infrequent, often weekdays only. A trip that is direct by car may require going through the capital or Benavente by public transport.

On arrival: Tierra del Vino

South of the capital, the Tierra del Vino is an area of vineyards and cereal fields, and Morales del Vino works almost as a suburb of Zamora, with many residents working in the city. Most of its trips are into the capital and to the station.

Tip: From Sanabria to Barajas the road trip is long; consider a car to Sanabria station and the train onwards if the timetable fits.
